copyright, trademarks, designs and patents and the industries
associated with those. Our expertise includes:-

patents, trademarks and designs both through Irish, European
and international protection systems and advice on IP
matters across a range of industries such as music, publishing,
art, digital media, technology, advertising and gaming. |

drafting contracts
for the exploitation of intellectual property, including
licences, assignments, manufacturing agreements, technology
transfer and distribution agreements taking into account
applicable domestic and EU competition issues; |

Particular experience
in the enforcement of intellectual property rights including
patent litigation, anti counterfeiting proceedings, injunctions,
search and seizure remedies, preparation and participation
in High Court and Supreme Court proceedings. |

An in-depth knowledge
and experience in the life sciences bio-technology and
pharmaceutical law area. The team has considerable experience
in both contentious and non-contentious aspects of the
area. We have represented several pharmaceutical and agri-chemical
companies in high profile disputes involving such matters
as the efficacy of vaccines and resistance to active ingredients
in chemicals; |

in relation to the healthcare industry, medical devices,
animal health sectors, clinical trials, product authorisations,
packaging, labelling, confidential information and product
liability claims; |

Regular advice to
clients on data protection issues, including work place
policies, employee monitoring, privacy policy, email and
SMS marketing and we also provide specialist advice to
many clients in relation to freedom of information. |
